Campaigns
In this section, we want to keep you informed about what campaigns we're running and get your input on what issues are affecting you so we can run even more!
The Union has got a great programme of events for this year’s Skills and Employability Week. Our aim is to show that assets such as presentation and problem solving skills can be demonstrated in a variety of ways; for example, you need problem solving skills to get to the bottom of a murder, as you’ll see if you come along to our Murder Mystery evening on Thursday 23rd and you need strong leadership skills to run a University, as the Vice Chancellor will demonstrate in his session on Monday 20th. There’s something for everyone, we promise, and if you’re thinking about getting involved in the election, there are sessions that shouldn’t be missed!
So come along and get involved!
Monday 20th February, 12-1.30pm, Park SU: Leadership Skills Worshop
Come along and listen to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nick Petford, deliver a workshop of leadership skills.
Tuesday 21st February, 6-8pm, Avenue SU: Presenting with comedy
Come along to a comedy night and see how important presentation skills are to a comedian!
Wednesday 22nd February, 6-8pm, Pavilion: 'Thrice the Price: is it worth it?'
Join our Debating Society as they consider the potential impact the imminent increase in fees will have on students at the University of Northampton.
Thursday 23rd February, 6-10pm, Park SU: Murder Mystery Evening and film showing
Put your problem solving skills to the test and see if you can crack the case! To sign up, email andrew@northamptonunion.com. The murder mystery will be followed by a showing a well-known film full of sleuthing skill!
