Northampton Through a Global Lens Competition

The Competition

The University of Northampton is fortunate to boast a diverse range of nationalities and cultures amongst their student community. The ‘Northampton Through a Global Lens’ Competition organised by The Global Students’ Society in partnership with the International Office aims to celebrate and highlight this diversity.

The challenge is for Global Students’ Society Members to submit a set of five (5) photos by 9am on Friday 18 May that illustrates The University of Northampton’s Global Community.  Your photos can be of anything relating to your experience whilst a student of The University of Northampton. It can be of a place visited, of friends made, of experiences shared – anything you believe that has defined your stay.

All entries will be published online and the winner will receive an Apple iPad.

The winning entry will be that that is judged to be the most visually appealing, original and in keeping with the theme of the competition. The winner will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the competition

 

 

How To Enter

Entries should be submitted to the Societies & Volunteering Coordinator by 9am on Friday 18 May by emailing Andrew@northamptonunion.com

Entries must include:

  • Student Name and Number
  • 5 Photos
  • A Title for Your Set of Photos
  • Short paragraph on why you have chosen these photos as defining moments of your experience at Northampton.

Please put 'Global Lens Competition' in the email subject.

Image files must be at least 72dpi and between 1Mb and 3Mb in size.

You may submit as many entries as you like, but you may only submit one entry per email.

All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. All entrants agree that they may be asked to sign a Photo Permission Form in order that their entries be used in promotional material.
