Living on campus is a bonus but not a necessity!

Being a hall rep is easy stuff, as long as you’re sociable, you will love it.

Last year our commercial events, such as Flirt, were filling up every week and were mainly full of students that lived on campus. For whatever reason this year, the Students’ Union does not seem as popular; and this is what we want to work on!

We have a 500+ capacity nightclub right on the doorstep of the students on Park Campus and we want them to want to use this. We offer as cheap if not cheaper than the town centre, cheap entry and there is no taxi fare either! 

We want to make the student experience here as enjoyable as possible, and to do that we do need the support from our students otherwise the Union suffers and for the University to keep us on campus; we need to be successful.

To do this, we need your support! The job for hall reps would simply be to be briefed at the start of every week on the commercial events that were taking place that week- and then get people in their halls of residence to go them! Simple. Whenever you have a bit of spare time, you can put some posters up in your halls or talk to people and get them to come to Union and buy tickets. The role is rewards-based and if you get other a certain number of customers that say YOU have advised them to purchase tickets- then you will get free entry to that event a couple of free drinks.

As work starts clogging up and people find going to town increasingly expensive; we want to get a following together for the Union and you can help us in a big way!
