Hello! My names Tim and I’ve got the great pleasure of being the President of YOUR Union this year! It is my job to represent you. In other words I’m here to help you out! I have just finished a BA (Hons) Acting Degree and played Lacrosse for my three amazing years here. I was born in Los Angeles, California before moving to Hertfordshire when I was two years old and then Aberdeen when I was eleven, before returning to sunny sunny England to go to University!
If I had to give you just one piece of advice for your three years at Uni it would be get out there and join something! There are 21 different societies and 22 different Sports Clubs to pick and choose from, or even better… create your own! It’s the best way to make friends and get the absolute most out of your Uni experience! Or alternatively Get Involved with your Union as a Part Time Officer or with your education as a Course Rep!
And now down to the important stuff. It will be my chief responsibility to represent YOU and YOUR BEST INTERESTS to the University. As I am a Governor on the Board of the University and also I sit in the Senate, I am in the best position to help you! But now comes your part... You need to tell Callum, Steve and myself what you want! That’s it, and we’ll do our best to achieve that whether it is better feedback and more one-on-one time with tutors, or a dodge-ball society we are here to fight for these things for you! I had the best 3 years of my life here, and I want you to have that too. Simples!
